NEC Article 702, 705 & 706

Course Description

This course provides participants with an in-depth discussion on NEC Articles 702: Optional Standby Systems, 705: Interconnected Electric Power Production Sources, and 706 Energy Storage Systems. Topics include:

  • Installation and operation of optional standby systems consisting of those that are permanently installed in their entirety, including prime movers, and those that are arranged for a connection to a premises wiring system from a portable alternate power supply
  • Installation of one or more electric power production sources operating in parallel with a primary source(s) of electricity.
  • Energy Storage Systems that may be stand-alone or interactive with other electric power production sources, primarily intended to store and provide energy during normal operating conditions.
