Find the Code Reference: NEC & RCW/WAC: Part 1

AM: This course covers the National Electrical Code with an overview of Article 90, Introduction to the Code, specifically how to use this Code book and the resources available within it. Time is spent describing what this Code covers, what is not covered, mandatory and permissive rules, explanatory material and most importantly how to use the index to find the information specified within the body of the text. Upon completion of the course, the student will understand and be fully capable of using the index to find all necessary Code references with this Code. Relevant Code references will be discussed during the class to further enhance the knowledge gained and show how the Code relates to field work as an electrician or Administrator.

PM: This course covers the current edition of RCW 19.28 and WAC 296-46B and the resources available within it. Time is spent describing what the Code covers, what is not covered, definitions, mandatory and permissive rules, explanatory material and most importantly how to use the index to find the information specified within the body of the text. Upon completion of the course the student will understand and be fully capable of using the index to find all necessary Code references with this Code. Relevant Code references will be discussed during the class to cement the knowledge gained and show how the Code relates to field work as an electrician or Administrator. RCW/WACs and supplemental handouts included in cost of course.
