Alternative Energy Systems

Course Description

This course covers the basics of Alternative Energy Systems. Solar Photovoltaic, Geothermal, and Wind Farms, etc…are discussed. Focus is on the main features, advantages, and disadvantages of the various approaches to creating cleaner, more efficient energy resources in a world constantly demanding more energy. References will be made, when appropriate, to the National Electrical Code and the RCW/WAC requirements for these systems as they provide more of our energy needs. RCW/WACs and supplemental handouts included in cost of course.
